I can never find the time to post a blog let alone paint my nails. I used to always have perfectly manicured nails, but now I can’t be stuffed to paint my nails when I do find the time because I don’t want to paint them within two hours of my sleep time — don’t want those hair prints in my fingernails!

My hours at work got cut. BOO. I know I wasn’t really looking forward to working mornings, but there’s just not much they need me to do in the office anymore. :(

I’ve also started apartment hunting for the next school year.

I only worked one day this week because they didn’t need me to work my morning shifts this week. First of all, I’m already working less hours per week this quarter, and then I didn’t get any money for this week :( I spent a TON of money over the break because when you see everyone, everyone wants to go out. I also spent tons of money on gifts, so I really overspent! I really need this money and need to start watching my spending activity, which is why I’ve started a spending report for myself. However, I really enjoyed sleeping in which means I got to play on a handful of weeknights :)

Being back in class is a little bit difficult. I’m taking a class on discrete structures which is primarily taken by computer science majors. Now, I am a math/econ major, and I’m totally surrounded by all these CS majors! I normally wouldn’t mind, but many of the students were discriminating against math majors and the associated curriculum because math majors take an intro programming class. I just get really annoyed that they think they’re so damn fabulous. I’m a math major, and I’m not stupid or “weak” as they would say. We’ll see who has the last laugh when grades come in because I’m going to study EXTRA hard this quarter!

Within a week back at school, there’s also been some exciting drama because my life hasn’t really been dramatic lately. I’ve lost some people here and there, but in some cases, I just don’t know WHY! I feel if someone is going to be angry and ignore me, I should at least have some reason as to why that person is angry. Oh well. With a new quarter and a new year, I’m just going to pay attention to the beautiful people in my life with whom I love spending my time.

2009 included…
-seeing Rent at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood
-trying to meet Giada de Laurentiis
-finishing my first year of college at UCLA!
-an interesting “family” trip to Hawaii
-summer school in the Bay Area
-meeting new amazing friends at my second year at UCLA
-experimenting and having a better social life
-getting my first job
-a new first with boy
-earning my first B
-going to watch the finale taping of So You Think You Can Dance

Overall, it was a good year with a lot of fun and growth. I definitely ended 2009 on a good note just hanging out with a few friends not doing anything particularly exciting. I’m sure I can have an even better yeah with 2010.

I’m never one to make New Year’s resolutions because I would never keep them. Instead, I’m working on some things around the clock. I’m looking to manage my time better and really just promote a healthier lifestyle!

I’ve just been having a difficult time juggling life. For the first time in my life, I had to find a balance between work and school. Throw in boys and a social life into the equation, and you’ve got yourself some confusion.

I’m on my winter break right now. I just finished fall quarter, and I got my first B. I’m not terribly bummed out about it, but it was just weird to see a B, haha.

Now, I’m off to clean my room from this holiday mess. Hope everyone’s holidays are going well, and we’ll see if I can get this blog up again :)

My midterms went well, but we’ll have to wait to see the grades!

So I DID get the job, and I started on Monday. I’m working twelve hours a week with Wednesdays off. I’m so excited and happy to be enjoying my afternoon off right now. My duties aren’t too demanding. I’m an office assistant for housing services, and the department just began a project to database all the old documents from the pre-computer days. This requires photocopying papers that have sensitive information on them and blacking out that information, so we can scan it in later. I’ve been going through people’s old files from as early as 1982. It’s tedious because I just make copies, but I found some fun in it.

When I get a big file, I like to look at that person’s information and create an interesting story. On my first day, I really enjoyed coming up with his story because I was going through his papers for two whole hours! What’s cool is that the papers went in chronological order, so I would find new twists and turns to every story. Tomorrow I have a four hour shift, so I’m going to have to entertain myself by meeting new people via old files :)

I haven’t found time to nap or go to the gym these past two weeks because of work-related things and studying for exams. Actually, I also went to Knott’s Scary Farm, but that’s another story. Anyway, I haven’t put my locker to use at all! Tonight though, I am going to play indoor soccer with my floor in the housing league, so I’ll finally be able to get some exercise in!
